Guard and supervisory service in museums

Summary

This procurement concerns the provision of guard and supervisory services for two museums in Wetzlar: Stadtmuseum with Lottehaus and Palais Papius. The contract covers guarding and supervision during opening hours to protect exhibits and ensure visitor safety, as well as staffing for special events. The period is 2027 to 2029, with a total planned workload of 25,392 hours (2027: 8,412; 2028: 8,490; 2029: 8,490). Special events include 50 evening events per year at 4 hours each with two guards (400 hours) and 4 vernissages at 4 hours each with two guards (32 hours), totaling 432 hours per year. The award will be based on price only. The bidder must meet qualification requirements including a guard license under §34a Gewerbeordnung, declaration of taxes and social security payments, proof of qualification of the site supervisor, registration in the professional and trade register, one extract of the applicable collective agreement for Hessen, and a list of at least three museum-related references. Insurance requirements include liability insurance with minimum sums: personal injuries 5,000,000 €, property and financial damage 10,000,000 €, data protection violation 100,000 €, loss of keys 300,000 €, processing damages 2,500,000 €, custody damages 500,000 €.
