Disposal of Tar-Containing Road Surface Material

Summary

The tender covers the compliant handling and final disposal of tar-containing road surface material removed from Munich streets, including cold-mix foundation material, tar-containing joint sealant and contaminated concrete. The work includes transport, any necessary processing and temporary storage, and documentation of the waste streams. The estimated quantities are approximately 8,000 tonnes of tar-containing road material, 100 tonnes of joint-sealant and bedding-material mixture, and 500 tonnes of concrete from around 35 construction sites. This is a framework agreement expected to start on 1 March 2027 and run for up to 12 months; the parties may agree to extend it by up to 6 months. The bidder must demonstrate at least two years of relevant practical experience, provide three comparable references from the last five years, hold certification as a waste-management specialist, and meet the insurance, turnover and electronic documentation requirements for hazardous waste. The offer must identify a compliant delivery or interim-storage facility no more than 30 km from central Munich and specify the proposed disposal methods.
