Leimbach Retention Area Construction – Measure 4

Summary

The State of Baden-Württemberg, represented by the Karlsruhe Regional Council, is procuring construction of a flood-retention area on the lower Leimbach in Nussloch and Leimen, as Measure 4. The single, non-lot contract covers site clearance and earthworks, dam construction, sheet piling, water management, bank and bed protection, a pump shaft and pipelines, flood-protection stop logs, steelwork, access and maintenance roads, and landscaping. It also includes associated quality-control work and five years of annual inspection and maintenance for the steel water-management components.
