Monitoring of plant species listed in Annexes II and IV of the FFH Directive

Summary

Subject of the procurement is FFH Directive Annex II and Annex IV plant species monitoring in Saxony-Anhalt. The contract covers monitoring, data collection and reporting for the period 2025–2030. The work is divided into three lots: Lot 1 covers Jurinea cyanoides on 20 survey plots; Lot 2 covers Cypripedium calceolus on 10 plots; Lot 3 covers Buxbaumia viridis and Orthotrichum rogeri on eight plots in total. Preparatory tasks include evaluating data from previous monitoring cycles and establishing the technical prerequisites for fieldwork; data, photos and geodata must be provided to the FFH monitoring cloud. The evaluation follows the guidelines of BfN and BLAK (2017) Skript 480. Additional vegetation recordings are required for Lots 1 and 2. The contractor will prepare short reports for each lot and document findings. All outputs, including photographs, data sheets and geodata, must be delivered by 15 November 2029. Lot 3 is executed in two phases: 50% completion by 15 November 2027 and the remainder by 15 November 2028. The contractor determines the distribution of areas and work steps.
