Winter maintenance in the Nuremberg area during winter 2026/2027

Summary

The tender covers snow clearance and ice control at locks and operating sites in the Nuremberg area along the Main–Danube Canal during winter 2026/2027. It is divided into two lots: Lot 1 covers Kriegenbrunn and Erlangen locks, totalling 29,500 m²; Lot 2 covers the Nuremberg outstation and depot site, as well as Nuremberg and Eibach locks, totalling 64,100 m². The contractor must clear snow from the areas, access points, driveways and steps shown on the site plans and apply grit or other spreading material when needed to prevent slippery conditions. The service must be available around the clock, with work carried out when required according to weather conditions. Between 16:00 and 06:00, the contractor must independently decide, based on the weather, whether to deploy. Kriegenbrunn lock and the Nuremberg outstation and depot site must be cleared and treated by 06:00 whenever work is needed; the other sites must be completed by 08:00. Between 06:00 and 16:00, the contractor must repeat the work as often as the contracting authority instructs and as necessary to prevent hazards. The contractor must provide a contact telephone number that is continuously reachable and, if required, submit shift schedules with telephone numbers.
