Operational safety inspections in science classrooms at Cologne schools – framework agreement

Summary

The City of Cologne is procuring a framework agreement for operational safety inspections in science classrooms at its schools, covering chemistry, physics, biology and multifunctional science rooms. The work is divided into two lots: 59 school sites on the left bank of the Rhine and 37 on the right bank. Inspections cover laboratory fume cupboards, student and teacher/preparation benches, room air supply, fixed electrical installations, emergency switches and hazardous-substance storage cabinets; separately ordered repair work is also included. The agreement is expected to start on 1 April 2027, with an initial 24-month term and one possible 24-month extension, up to a maximum of 48 months.
