Survey of relevant breeding bird species in EU Special Protection Areas in Brandenburg (Lots 1–28)

Summary

The procurement covers surveys of relevant breeding bird species in EU Special Protection Areas in Brandenburg, divided into 28 lots. The aim is to update and supplement bird records and assess the status of the species and their habitats. The areas and scope differ by lot; nature conservation wardens also collect data in some areas or sample plots, and the contractor may need to combine those results with its own work. Surveys generally take place from 1 February to 15 August. Each species must be surveyed at least twice during its optimal survey period; nocturnal and crepuscular species require at least two separate night visits. The contractor must provide precise GIS data for territories and breeding sites and a final report, including population figures and reasoned assessments of conservation status. For lots surveyed in 2027, the report and spatial data are due by 25 October 2027; for lots surveyed in 2028, they are due by 25 October 2028. For lots spanning both years, an interim report is due by 30 September 2027, with the complete final report and spatial data due by 25 October 2028. Bids may cover one or more lots, but normally no more than two lots may be awarded to one bidder. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 19 October 2026 at 23:59.
