Noise protection works for the Remagen–Mainz railway corridor, line 2630 – Lot 1 North and Lot 2 South

Summary

The project will deliver new noise barriers along railway line 2630 between Remagen and Mainz as part of the rehabilitation of the left-bank Rhine corridor. Lot 1 covers approximately 6.1 km in the northern section, and Lot 2 approximately 4.8 km in the southern section. The works include detailed design, foundations, noise barriers, special structures, modifications to existing engineering structures, and emergency and service access points. Preparatory works are planned during track closures in summer 2027, with the main works during a closure in the first half of 2028.
