GSH Hagen–Hamm – Construction of the Bahnhofstraße railway overbridge

Summary

As part of the comprehensive renewal of the Hagen–Hamm high-capacity rail network, the existing level crossing in Bönen will be replaced with a railway overbridge at Bahnhofstraße. The works comprise five single-span superstructures: trough bridges with orthotropic decks for tracks 3, 4 and 10, and composite girders in concrete for tracks 1 and 2. The abutments will be founded on bored piles, with intersecting bored-pile walls also providing waterproof support for the future road trough structure.
