Expansion and Unification of Palo Alto

Summary

The tender concerns the expansion and unification of the Palo Alto network security infrastructure at Hochschule Bochum. The goal is to create a redundant central Palo Alto PA-5410 firewall cluster to control Endpoint-VPN, DMZ, servers and GLT networks and to unify DFN/Internet/VPN connections under a single security architecture. Required performance exceeds the capabilities of the current PA-5220/PA-5250 models, including firewall throughput around 52 Gbit/s, Threat Prevention throughput around 26 Gbit/s, IPsec VPN throughput around 21 Gbit/s, and support for up to 3.6 million sessions (270,000 new sessions per second).
