Motor vehicle liability insurance

Summary

The North Rhine-Westphalia Road Construction Agency is procuring a framework agreement for motor vehicle third-party liability insurance for its entire fleet. The insurance covers 10 vehicle groups and 2,638 vehicles as of July 2026, including liability arising from the use of vehicles as insured work machinery; rented vehicles are excluded, while leased vehicles are covered. Cover is due to start on 1 January 2027, with annual renewals and a maximum term ending on 1 January 2031. The required limit is at least EUR 100 million combined for personal injury, property damage and financial loss, capped at EUR 15 million per injured person for personal injury.
