Construction of the telecommunications system in Wahlstedt

Summary

The procurement covers planning a roughly 20 km telecommunications cable route and related telematics facilities alongside the A21 motorway in the Wahlstedt area, including technical-equipment planning and environmental and nature-conservation planning. The work includes preparing a landscape conservation plan, assessing species protection and, where needed, work relating to Natura 2000 and environmental impact assessment. Special tasks also include habitat and species surveys and environmental construction supervision. The contract is not divided into lots, and price is the sole award criterion (100%). Bidders must demonstrate the required professional liability insurance and provide at least three references for planning cable facilities for Autobahn GmbH and three references for environmental planning projects of a comparable scale. The offer, declarations and required evidence must be submitted in German electronically through the contracting authority’s platform. The submission deadline is 8 October 2026 at 09:00. Work is to begin within 14 working days of contract award; technical-equipment design phases 3 and 4–6 and environmental planning are due by 30 December 2026 and 31 May 2027 respectively, and all work must be completed by 31 December 2029 at the latest.
