Maintenance and glass cleaning MPIL

Summary

The tender concerns maintenance and glass cleaning for 2027 at the Max-Planck-Institut. The contractor must deliver regular and need-based cleaning across the entire institute, including exterior and interior glass facades, sun-protection foil glass, blinds and their housings, as well as director and secretary offices’ windows and the main entrance glass. Cleaning covers all windows and glass surfaces including sills, frames, rebates, blinds, blind boxes, drainage basins and guide rails; it must be performed with specialist brushes and hand tools, with no high-pressure cleaning. Where possible, windows should be opened and inner frames cleaned; sun-foil windows must be cleaned according to the manufacturer’s datasheet. Cleaning shall take place in June, with the exact date agreed about six weeks beforehand; a precise schedule must be followed and the work completed within a maximum of three weeks from the start of cleaning.
