Heat Recovery Test Rig

Summary

The procurement covers the detailed engineering, component sourcing, fabrication, assembly, delivery and installation of a heat-recovery test rig. The rig will investigate heat recovery from the moist exhaust air of a paper machine’s drying section. It must generate process gas at the required temperature and moisture level, route it through a compressor and three heat exchangers, and allow measurement of heat-recovery performance and the expander’s electrical output. The work includes automation and safety-system design, risk assessment, a factory acceptance test (FAT), a site acceptance test (SAT), commissioning, documentation and training for the purchaser’s staff. The purchaser will provide the steam generator; the contractor must source the other required equipment and materials. Commissioning and acceptance must be completed by 31 October 2027. The offer must include a company profile, at least one qualifying project reference, technical information on the proposed rig and a completed price schedule. Price is the sole award criterion: the lowest net price among compliant offers carries 100% of the weighting. The price must be a binding lump sum covering the full scope and one year of maintenance after commissioning.
