Heavy rainfall risk management action plan

Summary

Kommunalbetrieb Krefeld AöR is commissioning a municipal action plan for managing heavy-rainfall risks across Krefeld, an area of approximately 137.7 km² with about 231,000 residents. Building on the city’s existing heavy-rain hazard and risk assessments, the work includes workshops with relevant municipal and infrastructure stakeholders, risk assessments of five buildings, and site visits to five critical locations. The written plan will set out and prioritise information, land-use, structural and emergency-management measures, with responsibilities, and will be delivered with reusable digital data and presentations. The services are to be completed within 12 months and no later than 31 December 2027.
