Weiherhammer–Kalkhäusl landfill – low-calorific gas plant and process equipment upgrade

Summary

The Neustadt an der Waldnaab district is procuring upgrades to gas collection and the delivery, installation and commissioning of a low-calorific landfill-gas treatment plant at the Weiherhammer–Kalkhäusl landfill. The works include modifying gas pipes, wells and collection stations; installing gas extraction and a low-calorific-gas flare; supplying the plant’s process, control and monitoring equipment; and removing specified existing equipment. The new system is designed for a landfill-gas extraction flow of 10–100 m³/h, with thermal treatment for methane concentrations above 3% and heat recovery of up to 20 kW. The works are scheduled for 2027; the contract is not divided into lots.
