Modernisation of orbital welding technology

Summary

The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald is procuring equipment to modernise its orbital welding technology. The supply comprises two welding power sources, two switching units, two closed orbital welding heads for pipe diameters of 3–39 mm, one closed micro-head for 3–12.7 mm, one open head for 20–114.3 mm, one welding positioner, two adapters for AMI welding heads, and associated controls, software, hardware, mounts and clamping inserts. Commissioning and training for three people are also included.
