Open-space and urban densification concept

Summary

The City of Fürth is commissioning an open-space and urban densification concept for its inner-city area. The work will analyse inner-city gaps and their surroundings, develop use or development concepts for those sites, and apply the same approach to underused areas such as car parks and petrol stations. The concept is intended to support housing development while protecting valuable open spaces and improving urban greenery for cooling, rainwater retention and quality of life. Work is expected to begin in February 2027 and be completed by July 2027; no lots are specified.
