Forest management planning and forest inventory using a combined method

Summary

The City of Essen is procuring forest management planning and a simultaneous repeat inventory, as of 1 January 2028, for approximately 1,736 hectares of its FSC-certified urban forest. The work includes collecting stand-level data, planning forestry measures, and surveying approximately 290 permanent sample points on a 200 × 200 metre grid. Deliverables include reports, tables, graphics, data files and forest maps, as well as 14 presentation and discussion sessions with municipal committees.
