Expert report on revising the environmental impact assessment procedure

Summary

The German Federal Institute of Hydrology is commissioning a scientific expert study to evaluate and improve the environmental impact assessment procedure for federal waterways. The work covers a review of existing methods and other authorities’ practices, an analysis of shortcomings in the current procedure, and methodological recommendations, including for digital tools. Deliverables include an interim report, a final report and presentations; the work is to last 11 months.
