Digitisation and restoration of the film WITZLEBEN

Summary

The Stiftung Deutsche Kinemathek is procuring the digitisation and digital restoration of the 1980/1981 film WITZLEBEN, approximately 71 minutes long, from eight 16 mm picture reels and two magnetic sound reels. The work includes a 2K scan, picture and sound restoration, colour grading, editing, English subtitles, German subtitles for an approximately two-minute English-language section, subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, and audio description. Deliverables include a 2K DCDM, an unencrypted 2K DCP at an assumed 25 fps, an HD ProRes 4444 master, a Blu-ray image, separate cinema audio mixes, subtitle and accessibility files, and the raw scans on LTO 7 tape.
