Winter maintenance service

Summary

The tender covers winter maintenance of the roads and pedestrian areas at Hamburg University of Technology. The contractor must keep the assigned areas safe for use during snow and icy conditions, including by clearing snow and treating slippery surfaces. The contract is divided into two lots, and bidders may tender for one or both: the lower campus area totals approximately 4,538 m² and the upper campus area approximately 4,752 m². The work also covers footpaths, entrances, stairs, ramps and access roads. The contract runs from 1 November 2026 to 15 April 2029; each lot may be extended twice by one year, with a maximum contract duration of five years. Bids must be submitted electronically by 10:00 on 22 October 2026. Bidders must provide a suitability declaration, evidence of quality and environmental management and liability insurance, references, a plan for organising winter maintenance and meeting the required response times, a plan for weather monitoring and deployment control, and a sample of operational records. Price and quality each account for 50% of the evaluation; the quality elements are the organisation plan (20%), the weather-monitoring plan (18%) and the documentation sample (12%). Alternative bids are permitted only when submitted alongside a main bid.
