Cleaning stormwater retention basins on the A20 in the Süderholz motorway maintenance depot area

Summary

The contract covers the emptying and cleaning of three stormwater retention basins along the A20 in the area served by the Süderholz motorway maintenance depot, and the proper removal and treatment of the resulting waste. The sites are at A20 kilometres 182.67, 196.30 and 213.50. The contractor must, among other tasks, pressure-wash the walls and floors of emptied enclosed structures, arrange the handling of water and sludge, and prevent solids from entering receiving waters. The contractor is also responsible for arranging sampling and documenting and properly disposing of the waste. The bid must include proof that the bidder is a certified waste management company, a description of the equipment and machinery to be used, and at least 2 comparable references dating from 2023 onwards. The references must demonstrate successful cleaning or desludging of a stormwater retention basin and disposal of the resulting waste. The bid must be submitted electronically through the contracting authority’s platform in German by 28 October 2026 at 09:30. Work must start no later than 12 working days after contract award and be completed by 31 March 2027. The contract is not divided into lots, alternative bids are not permitted, and price is the stated award criterion.
