Repair of safety barriers on the Rangsdorf motorway network

Summary

The contract covers the repair of crash-damaged safety barriers on motorways A 10, A 13, A 113 and A 117 in the Rangsdorf area. Under a two-year call-off contract, the contractor must supply the required new materials, remove damaged barriers, install and align replacements, and provide traffic safety measures during the works. The contracting authority is not required to use the full contract amount; unit prices remain binding during the contract or until the contract amount is reached. Works will be carried out in separate locations, with typical damage sections measuring about 16–20 metres. Repairs should generally begin within three working days; minor damage must be repaired within one month, while a breach or a barrier displaced substantially out of alignment may have to be repaired within 24 hours. The contractor must provide a crew of at least three people, a qualified barrier-installation specialist and a qualified employee responsible for traffic safety.
