Tender detail
Construction of a gate and fence system with anti-climb protection
Summary
The tender covers construction of the outdoor works at the Barsbüttel tunnel operations building near Hamburg to improve the security of critical infrastructure. The works include a fence with anti-climb protection and a double-leaf gate, surfacing for vehicle parking areas, excavation and installation of cable-protection ducts, and installation, cabling and connection of lighting and video surveillance. The contractor must also install masts, carry out earthworks and sub-base works, and deliver a tested, operational, fully documented installation. Bids must be submitted electronically by 09:00 on 12 October 2026. Price is the sole award criterion; the contract is not divided into lots and alternative bids are not permitted. The bid must include, among other items, a suitability declaration, evidence of electrical qualifications, the required pricing schedule, and a construction programme with an explanation of the work plan. The contractor must demonstrate comparable experience with manholes, duct systems and cable systems on motorways and use its own permanent employees for this work. Further evidence of traffic-safety qualifications and price calculations must be provided if separately requested by the contracting authority.
