Tender detail
EU audits
Summary
The tender seeks external audits of Goethe University’s European Commission-funded research projects and the preparation of audit certificates confirming that EU funding has been used and reported properly. The audits cover checks of costs, including total-cost reviews and sample checks, and must be performed by a qualified auditor independent of preparing the financial statements. Under the ninth framework programme, a certificate is required for each partner with declared EU contributions of at least EUR 430,000, including indirect costs and taking the applicable funding rate and cumulative amounts across reporting periods into account. The threshold for the tenth framework programme is not yet known. Approximately six audits are expected per year, with annual audit costs estimated at around EUR 29,000. Services are due to start on 1 April 2027 and are expected to continue for 48 months; certificates are generally due within 60 days after the end of the final reporting period. The bid must include an audit delivery plan, a pricing sheet, and the required declarations and evidence. Price accounts for 40% of the evaluation and the quality of the delivery plan for 60%. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 29 October 2026 at 14:00.
