Procurement of a macOS service server and network storage
Summary
Berliner Hochschule für Technik is procuring one macOS service server and one central network-attached storage system (NAS) for delivery in 2026. The server must be a Mac mini with an M6 chip, a 12-core CPU and GPU, dual 16-core Neural Engine, 32 GB unified memory, 2 TB storage and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The NAS must be a Synology SA3410 or equivalent, rack-mountable in a 19-inch format and equipped with 12 enterprise hard drives of at least 16 TB each in RAID 6. The buyer’s response to a bidder question additionally requires 16 GB DDR4 ECC RAM in the storage system. The NAS must support SMB, NFS, FTP/FTPS/SFTP and iSCSI, integrated backup software at no extra licence cost, and macOS and Time Machine over SMB3. Requirements also include integration with Active Directory, user- and group-based permissions and quotas, web-based administration and activity logging. The drives must be supplied by the NAS manufacturer or approved by that manufacturer for the offered model, and covered by the manufacturer’s support and warranty arrangements. Compliance may be demonstrated with device documentation or by identifying the specific product. The bidder must submit a complete offer in German electronically through the Berlin procurement platform, fill in the required price-sheet fields and provide the required declarations. Price is the sole award criterion. Offers will be checked against the technical requirements in the tender documents, and a non-compliant offer may be excluded from evaluation. Delivery and invoicing are to take place in 2026; delivery must be free of charge to the buyer’s designated receiving location in Berlin. Do not upload a separate bidder-authored offer letter.
