Combined freeze dryer and vacuum concentrator

Summary

The procurement is for a combined freeze-drying unit and rotary vacuum concentrator for research at the University of Leipzig’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The vacuum concentrator will be used, among other purposes, to evaporate hexane; the freeze dryer will gently dry feed and biological samples such as urine and rumen fluid. The system must support both use of the freeze dryer as a solvent cold trap for the vacuum concentrator and independent freeze-drying of aqueous samples. The supply includes delivery to the place of use, installation, operational setup, acceptance, maintenance and service arrangements, user instruction, and German-language training for 2–3 participants. The offer must include an overview of inspections and maintenance and a separate maintenance offer or draft maintenance contract. Delivery is required as soon as possible, with all work completed and invoiced by 25 November 2026 at the latest. The offer submission deadline is 12 October 2026 at 23:59. The maximum budget is €45,000 including VAT. Price and technical value each account for 50% of the evaluation; the technical assessment includes, among other items, the points marked B in the specification schedule. Bidders must submit the completed offer form and technical schedule and provide at least two comparable references from the last three years. A completed national suitability self-declaration is also required. The offer must meet all technical minimum requirements; variants are not permitted.
