Urological laser

Summary

Klinikum Oldenburg is procuring one new holmium laser system for urological use, together with the necessary accessories and laser fibres. The system must be suitable for stone fragmentation, prostate laser enucleation, and tumour ablation in the bladder, ureter and renal pelvis. The supplier must deliver and install a complete operational system, provide the required documentation and train hospital staff. Key minimum technical requirements include a frequency of at least 200 Hz, peak pulse power of at least 2,500 W, output power of at least 150 W and operating noise of no more than approximately 64 dB. The system must have variable pulse frequencies, multiple treatment modes, a wireless foot switch, an integrated morcellation module and 10 laser safety glasses. Bidders must submit at least three comparable clinic project references completed during the previous year and demonstrate quality management and product compliance. A 24-month warranty and spare-parts availability for 10 years are required. The estimated annual quantities of laser fibres are 40 of approximately 270 μm, 15 of approximately 365 μm, 5 of approximately 550 μm and 5 of approximately 900 μm. These are forecast quantities, not guaranteed purchase volumes; pricing is based on the four-year forecast. Bids must be submitted electronically in German, and alternative bids are not permitted. Price and quality each carry a 50% weighting; quality assessment includes a hospital demonstration and user evaluation.
