Biological Supervision of Construction Works in Lunden-Itzstedt

Summary

The tender is for biological supervision of conservation works in the Nienwohlder Moor nature reserve near Lunden-Itzstedt. The works include creating approximately 6–7 small amphibian breeding ponds, winter refuges and habitats for amphibians, reptiles and insects, as well as landform and drainage adjustments, a roughly 130-metre earth bank and other habitat improvements. The supervisor must direct the works on site and adapt them to local conditions, coordinate with the project manager at least weekly, monitor excavator operations, document progress and check the construction contractors' timesheets. A bid must include the completed and signed tender form with price schedule, a suitability self-declaration, at least two reference proofs, and a brief description of the proposed staff member's qualifications. Qualified and experienced amphibian and reptile experts are required. Price is the sole award criterion, and the lowest-priced bid wins. Consortium bids, subcontracting and alternative bids are not permitted.
