De-icing salt delivery for 2026/2027 winter maintenance in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district

Summary

The contract is for the delivery of 2,050 tonnes of de-icing salt for the 2026/2027 winter maintenance season for the district road maintenance depots in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte area: 1,500 tonnes of loose salt for silos, 500 tonnes of loose salt delivered by tipper truck, and 50 tonnes in one-tonne big bags. The salt must meet DIN 16811-1 and grain class M requirements, with a grain size of 0.125–5 mm. Deliveries are generally scheduled from 30 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Weather-related quantity variations of ±20% are permitted, and the parties may mutually agree to extend the period to the 2027/2028 winter season. The supplier must also be able to deliver on Sundays and public holidays. Replenishment orders must be delivered within 48 working hours, and in extreme conditions the supplier must be able to deliver approximately 25 tonnes to one delivery site every second working day. Delivery sites are in Neustrelitz, Altentreptow, Demmin and Neukalen. The submission deadline is 19 October 2026 at 10:00, and price is the sole award criterion. The bid must include the price schedule, product and safety information, details of the manufacturer’s location and winter stock and production capacity, three references from the past three years, and the required quality certificate. Working-condition obligations also apply, including a gross minimum wage of EUR 14.68 per hour where applicable.
