Archiving and digitization of the Harry Heinig photo collection

Summary

The tender concerns the archiving and digitization of the Harry Heinig photo collection for the Forst (Lausitz) city archive. The collection comprises approximately 27,412 35mm negatives in formats 24x36 mm and 18x24 mm (half-format), stored in strips of 1 to 6 images in FACIL-KB photo sleeves and kept in 13 archival cassettes; a total of 986 sleeves. On average, 4–5 images per strip; 5,594 color negatives and 803 color slides. For digitization, a master TIFF file (4,000 dpi, 16-bit) for BW or 48-bit RGB for color must be produced for each image, and a usage JPEG file (compression 90) at 4,000 dpi, 8-bit BW or 24-bit RGB for color. Files must be named using the hh#####_XX.tif scheme and delivered on a portable hard drive, kept for up to 3 months after data receipt confirmation. Originals should be collected by the contractor and returned after completion. The contract completion date is 11 December 2026. The work should follow the DFG digitization guidelines."
