Study on Green Corridors and the Electrification of Freight Transport in Morocco

Summary

The tender concerns a forward-looking study on Morocco’s green corridors and the electrification of freight transport under the German-M Moroccan DKTI VI program. It includes policy/regulatory/institutional framework analysis, a detailed assessment of the Tangier–Kenitra–Rabat–Casablanca–Marrakech–Agadir corridor and screening of other strategic corridors, techno-economic and technical assessments of charging infrastructure and grid connections, development of electrification scenarios through 2035, and an operational roadmap with priority pilots and investment guidance. Deliverables comprise multiple reports and analyses, stakeholder consultations and field activities, and a final consolidated report. The assignment runs from 02.11.2026 to 30.06.2027 and deliverables are in French as per the contract.
