Tender detail

Delivery of a 1.5 µm erbium fibre amplifier

Summary

The tender covers the delivery of one 1.5 µm erbium fibre amplifier to the Max Born Institute in Berlin. The device must directly accept 1560 nm ±10 nm seed signals at a nominal average power of 10 mW and provide continuously adjustable output power from 10 mW to at least 10 W through pump-current control. It must have an integrated two-stage design, with a 20/125 µm fibre pre-amplifier and a main amplifier using a large-mode-area fibre with a 50 µm core and a mode-field diameter of at least 45 µm. The active fibre length of the main stage may not exceed 0.7 m. The device must preserve frequency-comb structure and coherence, with a B-integral below 0.1 rad for 300 ps pulses at 10 W output power. The output beam must be diffraction-limited with M² < 1.3. Delivery is DAP to Max-Born-Straße 2A, 12489 Berlin, under Incoterms 2020, no later than calendar week 52 of 2026. The bid must be submitted electronically by 24 September 2026 at 09:00. Price is the only award criterion; the bid must confirm compliance with all minimum requirements and exclude the application of the bidder’s own general terms and conditions.
