Engineering design for upgrading the video surveillance system in Prüfening Tunnel

Summary

The procurement is for engineering design services to replace the existing analogue video camera system in Prüfening Tunnel with a modern digital system. The work covers design development and detailed design, preparation of the works procurement and assistance during its award, construction supervision, and post-completion support. The services cover design phases 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9; phase 4 is excluded. The tunnel is 670 m long, and the estimated project costs are approximately EUR 1,000,000. The planned system must provide at least Full HD resolution and include video feeds, recording, network connectivity, integration with control systems, and automatic event detection, including stopped vehicles, wrong-way driving, congestion, smoke and pedestrians. The designer must provide, among other deliverables, digital and printed plans and complete construction documentation. Construction is expected to start in April 2027 and finish in October 2027; the construction schedule is due no later than two months after contract award and the tender documents within six months. Price is the sole award criterion, weighted at 100%. Tenders must be submitted in German electronically through the procurement platform by 10:00 on 13 October 2026.
