Laser in the blue wavelength range

Summary

The tender concerns one industrial blue diode laser system for high-precision processing, particularly of highly reflective materials such as copper and aluminium. The system must be suitable for continuous use in research and development environments and in automated manufacturing processes. The bidder must offer a fully operational system including all components, interfaces and services required for operation and install it at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology in Aachen. The mandatory technical specifications are 800 W power, a wavelength of 445 ± 30 nm, a beam parameter product of 6 mm mrad, an LLK-D optical fibre with a 100 µm core diameter and 10 m length, a fieldbus interface, a mobile control unit, an integrated pilot laser, a fibre length exceeding 8 m, two laser safety glasses for the blue wavelength, and a mobile control-unit cable longer than 2 m. The maximum contract value is EUR 200,000. The tender must state the manufacturer’s part number and a binding delivery time as a whole number of calendar weeks from contract award. Price is the only award criterion, with a weighting of 100%.
