MICADO Integral Field Unit II

Summary

The tender concerns the supply of an integral field unit for the MICADO instrument on the ESO Extremely Large Telescope. The device must operate in vacuum at 80 K, fit within 190 × 190 × 48 mm, divide the field of view into 32 slices and cover the 1.1–2.5 µm wavelength range. The bidder must demonstrate at least three references for diamond machining of optical components with the required surface quality and dimensions, provide the required technical documentation and insurance, and be able to deliver the device in the third quarter of 2027. The tender must comply with all minimum requirements classified as A criteria.
