Tender detail
Replacement of cooling equipment
Summary
The tender concerns technical design and construction-phase supervision services for a federal technical building in the Roth district. The project will renew cooling generation in two separate plant rooms and the cooling delivery to a server room, and will include electrical optimisation work. The design must account for the existing, densely installed building services, including drinking-water and ventilation systems. The work includes planning the replacement of chillers and heat-rejection units, installing two server-room climate cabinets, adding pipe supports, fitting a transparent condensate trap, and connecting two separate main low-voltage distribution boards. Initially, one chiller and two heat-rejection units will be installed for each cooling circuit; the design must allow later expansion to 140 kW per circuit. Cooling and redundancy must be maintained during construction. The services also include updating the as-built drawings. Design is scheduled for 11/2026–09/2027, construction for 09/2027–12/2029, with the overall project due to finish in 03/2030. The bidder must submit the required evidence of professional status, insurance, turnover, staffing and security clearance, together with plans for project organisation, design and construction. The team must include a project manager, deputy project manager and site manager with the required security clearances. Evaluation weights are 15% for organisation, 25% for team qualifications and experience, 20% for the design-phase approach and 40% for the construction-phase approach. Only tenders scoring at least 400 quality points, or 80% of the available points, will be considered for award.
