Sustainable Food Retail – Monitoring Report 2027

Summary

The project will assess the sustainability activities of the eight largest German food retailers by turnover and produce a monitoring report for 2027. It will update the assessment system, which covers 23 action areas, 90 indicators and 103 sub-indicators, and examine differences between retailers, progress and trends, structural barriers, and links between sustainability areas and actors across the value chain.
