Framework agreement for the disposal of animal by-products

Summary

The District of Coesfeld is procuring the collection, removal, marking, transport, storage, treatment and disposal of animal by-products for four years from 1 January 2027, ending no later than 31 December 2030 or earlier if the contractual maximum quantities are reached. The scope covers Category 1 and Category 2 animal by-products and derived products throughout the district, including fallen farm animals, slaughter waste, pets and, where applicable, parts of wild animals. Based on 2025 figures, annual volumes were approximately 5,990 tonnes from farms, 150 tonnes from small slaughterhouses, 1,160 tonnes from two large slaughterhouses, and approximately 12 tonnes combined from other sources and wild animals.
