Development of the Kuhheide site: forest clearance

Summary

The Uckermark district is procuring the clearance of an approximately 20-hectare forest area at Kuhheide in Schwedt for industrial-site development. The single, indivisible contract covers clearing shrubs across approximately 200,000 m², felling 2,224 trees, milling the corresponding stumps, finely milling the cleared ground, and related site-preparation work, including relocating a hunting stand. The contractor takes ownership of the resulting timber and biomass and is responsible for marketing it; removal must be completed by 31 December 2028.
