Renewal of the lift at Viehofer Platz underground station in Essen

Summary

Ruhrbahn GmbH is procuring the complete renewal of the lift at Viehofer Platz underground station in Essen. The existing hydraulic lift will be replaced with an electric traction lift with a 1,000 kg capacity and two stops; the work also includes dismantling and properly disposing of the existing equipment, installing and commissioning the new lift, and concluding a maintenance contract. The work is scheduled to take place from December 2026 until no later than the end of July 2027.
