Waste collection and disposal for road maintenance operations on the Rehau route

Summary

The contract covers the collection and management of waste generated by road maintenance operations in the Rehau area from 1 December 2026 to 30 April 2028. The work includes weekly checks of the containers at the Bärenholz rest and parking area on the A93 and at the Hof/Töpen interchange on the A72, emptying them as needed, and properly transporting and disposing of the waste. All containers must be checked once a week on Thursday or Friday; a container must be emptied when it is clearly more than 50% full, and larger items of litter around the containers must be cleared. The contractor must provide and maintain an expected two lidded waste bins at the Rehau road maintenance depot and empty them. Waste from the rest areas is classified as mixed municipal waste; separate collection of waste fractions is not required. From 1 January 2027, waste handling must be documented through the electronic eANV system, and the contractor must provide the required waste transfer and disposal records. As the work takes place in road traffic areas, high-visibility clothing, vehicle marking and traffic-safety requirements apply. Bidders must provide a valid waste management company certificate or equivalent evidence. This is an open procedure; the contract is not divided into lots, variant bids are not permitted, and price is the only award criterion.
