Framework agreement for door-to-door textile collection and processing

Summary

The City of Antwerp is procuring a framework agreement for door-to-door collection, sorting and processing of textile waste collected in Antwerp. The service covers reusable and non-reusable clothing, footwear, bags, bedding, household and kitchen textiles, soft toys, clean rags and slightly damaged textiles; carpets, mattresses, sofa cushions, and wet or soiled textiles are excluded. The contract is planned to run from 2027 to 2030, with the aim of maximising reuse and processing the remainder as sustainably and economically as feasible.
