Pan-European bird observation data, indicators, mapping products and scientific support for EU environmental policy

Summary

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment is seeking a service provider to supply pan-European bird observation data, indicators and mapping products, and to provide capacity building and scientific support for EU environmental policy. The work will maintain and update EU-relevant common bird indicators for farmland, forests and urban areas, develop new indicators as policy needs evolve, and further develop a publicly accessible pan-European service delivering bird observations and derived products almost daily. The contract is planned for 48 months, with an estimated value of EUR 650,000.
