Rehabilitation and modernisation of the Astrid Tunnel in Mouscron

Summary

SOFICO is procuring rehabilitation and modernisation works for the Astrid Tunnel in Mouscron, with a planned duration of 12 months. The works include concrete repairs, removal of coatings from the tunnel ceiling and central columns, passive fire protection, and closing the central section to create two separate tunnel tubes. Two emergency exits and a walkway in each tube will be built, guardrails replaced, acoustic lining installed, and partitions, flooring and stairs in the technical room refurbished.
