Summary
The procurement concerns the rental, installation and maintenance of firewalls to connect the buyer’s remote-site computer networks into a secure network and prevent unauthorised access to data. The bidder must provide two firewalls operating in a high-availability configuration and VPN licences for at least 2,000 users, install the equipment, migrate the existing configuration and configure the solution. The service must be fully operational by 1 March 2027, with support and maintenance provided for 36 months. The firewalls must meet extensive security and networking requirements, including antivirus protection, intrusion detection and prevention, web-content and application filtering, data loss prevention, VPN, traffic management, and centralised logging and administration. Key minimum specifications include firewall throughput of 164 Gbps, 580,000 new sessions per second, 28 million concurrent sessions, SSL VPN throughput of 6.1 Gbps, and support for at least 10 virtual firewalls. The equipment must be new and unused and include a 36-month manufacturer warranty and software updates. The bid must state the equipment manufacturer and model, provide the specific values for the required technical parameters, and include a technical data sheet or equivalent evidence. The provider must deliver technical support, monitoring and compliance with security requirements; the response time is up to 2 working hours and service restoration is due within 4 working hours. National-security restrictions apply, and the procurement must not present the security risks described in the applicable legislation.
