Design and construction of railway signalling, telecommunications and ETCS systems on the Debrecen–Nyíregyháza line
Summary
The contract covers the design and construction of railway signalling, telecommunications and ETCS Level 2 systems on the approximately 47 km railway section between Debrecen and Nyíregyháza. The works include electronic station signalling systems at five stations, control of 65 points, an approximately 47 km ETCS Level 2 trackside system with an RBC unit, and 75 Hz track-to-train signalling over approximately 94 track kilometres. The scope also includes automatic block systems between stations, railway level-crossing barriers, design, permits, documentation, certificates and commissioning. The procurement has one lot and the contract period is 48 months. Bids must be submitted electronically in Hungarian by 11:00 on 8 October 2026. Participation requires the relevant registrations, evidence of at least HUF 25 billion in turnover over the last three financial years, a relevant railway signalling or ETCS reference, and details of four separate specialists. The tender guarantee is HUF 40 million. Bids are evaluated on price and quality: price carries 70 points and the four experts’ additional experience carries 30 points in total.
