Flood protection on both banks of the Elbe in Ústí nad Labem

Summary

The tender covers the operation, functioning and management of the flood protection system in Ústí nad Labem, on both banks of the Elbe and along part of the Bílina River. The services must be provided in normal conditions, when flooding is threatened, during and after floods, and in emergencies. The contractor must also provide diesel generators to power the pumps. The planned contract term is 6 years, with an estimated value of CZK 30,000,000. Bids must be submitted electronically by 5 November 2026 at 09:00. The evaluation assigns 50% to the monthly lump-sum payment, 20% to the costs of installing and dismantling flood protection barriers during the flood period, 20% to operating costs during the flood period, and 10% to the one-off fee for a practical test. During contract performance, the contractor must ensure decent working conditions, compliance with employment law and collective agreements, occupational health and safety including for subcontractors, and supply-chain payment terms at least equivalent to those agreed with the contracting authority.
