Reconstruction of stops on tram line 50, Phase II
Summary
The procurement covers reconstruction of stops and surrounding areas on Budapest's tram line 50 to accommodate low-floor trams and improve accessibility. The main works comprise rebuilding 12 platforms at six stops and renewing and adjusting 1,022 track metres. The works also include platform and street lighting and electrical networks, crossings, road and pavement works, stormwater drainage, changes to bus stops and signalised junctions, utility diversions and landscaping. As an optional task, the contracting authority may order accessibility improvements at the Fő utca stop, including reconstruction of two platforms and work on 412 track metres. The main works and any optional works must be completed within 260 calendar days after the site is handed over. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 14:00 on 15 October 2026. Participation requires a tender guarantee of HUF 25,000,000. Bidders must have the relevant construction contractor registration, the required railway and platform work references, and at least two suitably qualified technical specialists. Price accounts for 70% of the evaluation; two additional experienced specialists can each earn 15%.
